Marine Layer, Dutton-Jentoft Vineyard Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast 2022

The Dutton-Jentoft vineyard in Green Valley is famous for steep slopes, elevation, and lots of fog, which helps create nuanced, structured, and age-worthy Pinot Noir. In 2022 the fruit was hand harvested and gently pressed with about 30% whole clusters. Malolactic fermentation occurs spontaneously in French oak (25% new), and the wine ages for 11 months in the same barrels. Elegant, poised, and textured, this Pinot is full of heady aromas of cherry, pomegranate, black tea, blood orange zest, and pine. Enjoy now or over the next 10 to 15 years.
