Mas Doix, 'Salanques' Priorat Tinto 2018

Located in Poboleda, a small village in the Priorat region, Mas Doix was created in 1998 by Valentí and Ramon Llagostera. Their vineyards are planted on the famous "Licorella" soils that charectarize Priorat's terroir. Ramon and Valentí we have taken on the commitment to maintain, care for and strengthen their vines while exercising respect for the environment, culture and its people.

Salanques is a blend of 65% 40 -80 year old Grenache vines, 25% 80 year old Carignan and 10% 15 year old Syrah.  Destemmed grapes are fermented in stainless steel tanks and wood barrels. 14 months in a new fine-grained French oak barrels (50% new and 50 % two year old barrels).
