This home vineyard in Kenwood has 5 different varieties coplanted: Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, Riesling, and Muscat. The vineyard is picked all at once in a process known as 'field blending.' The whites are foot treaded and macerated overnight, then all the grapes are pressed at once and fermented in stainless steel. The wine is bottled just before going dry, meaning it finishes fermenting in bottle. This is known as 'Petillant Naturel' and it traps some natural bubbles, which is retained after disgorging and topping. 40 cases produced
