Eraldo Viberti, Langhe Nebbiolo 2019

Eraldo Viberti’s family began making wine in La Morra in the early 20th century, selling much of their fruit off to other producers until Eraldo founded the winery in 1987. Currently, Eraldo farms 6 hectares of vineyards, two each dedicated to Nebbiolo, Barbera and Dolcetto.

This Langhe Nebbiolo is grown on tufaceous and clay marl soil around La Morra.  It sees a 10 day maceration on the skins in stainless steel and aged 12 months in neutral barrels.

This is classic old school Nebbiolo with dried fruit and fresh tobacco notes on nose with just enough subtle fruit on palate and healthy, but not over powering, tannins.
